About Susan Farwell

Susan Farwell

Susan Farwell has 25 years of continuous osteopathic experience. She has recently moved to Exeter, after practising osteopathy in London. She trained at the British School of Osteopathy, qualifying with honours in 1981. Her first employer was the European Community Youth Orchestra and she has worked with musicians ever since. She has found it particularly useful to watch players in performance in order to understand the physical rigours of their work.

Susan Farwell ran a general family practice in West London, treating people of all ages. Her work is gentle, using cranial osteopathy as a basis for diagnosis and treatment. She also uses the full range of osteopathic techniques but avoids manipulation and producing "clicks" unless that approach is best for the patient. In addition to the more usual cases of low back pain, neck pain, arthritis and sports injuries, Miss Farwell is experienced in working with performing artists, disabled and wheel-chair bound people, car crash victims, patients after recent surgery and anyone whose body is not functioning as well as it should be.

Susan Farwell has served as a member of the General Osteopathic Council and has been involved in osteopathic education. She is married and has 4 children.
